Local Trade Alliance attended the largest food and beverage trade show in the Americas, a strategic step to strengthen our network of Brazilian partners and introduce Portuguese products to one of the world's most dynamic markets.
From 18 to 21 May, the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo hosted another edition of APAS SHOW, the largest food and beverage event in the Americas and one of the most relevant in the world for the agri-food sector. With around 900 exhibitors and representatives from more than twenty countries, the show brought together industry, distribution and retail in a single space, creating the ideal environment for business, networking and discovering new consumer trends.
For Local Trade Alliance, taking part in this event was not an isolated gesture, but rather the natural continuation of the work we have been developing to bring Portugal and Brazil closer together. Being present at APAS SHOW meant, above all, a unique opportunity to be exactly where purchasing decisions and the major trends of South American food retail intersect.
Two directions, one single goal The visit to the show served a dual purpose, reflecting precisely how LTA views international trade: never in a single direction, but always as a two-way bridge.
• Exports: introducing Portuguese products and brands to potential Brazilian buyers, distributors and retailers, paving the way for new export partnerships originating in Portugal.
• Imports: identifying Brazilian suppliers with the potential to join our offering, expanding the range of products available to our clients in Portugal and in the other markets where we operate.
This dual approach reinforces LTA's role as a strategic procurement and export partner, not simply a commercial intermediary. Every contact made at the show was assessed not only for its immediate business potential, but for its capacity to build lasting relationships grounded in trust and closeness.
Brazil as a strategic market Brazil continues to stand out as one of the most relevant agri-food markets in the world, both because of the scale of its domestic consumption and its central position in Latin America's distribution chain. For Portuguese companies looking to expand their horizons, this is a market that demands local knowledge, trusted partners and close support throughout the entire process, from production to final delivery.
This is precisely where LTA adds value: by combining international trading experience with in-depth knowledge of the documentary, customs and logistics requirements of each market, we make it simpler for Portuguese companies to take the leap into Brazil, and for Brazilian companies to reach Portugal.
Next steps The contacts established during the show are now being followed up internally, with the goal of turning the interest shown into concrete partnerships over the coming months. We will continue to follow each of these opportunities closely, guided by the same commitment: trust, closeness and efficiency in every deal we facilitate.
LTA's presence at events such as APAS SHOW reinforces our medium- and long-term vision, that of a company that does not simply facilitate transactions, but builds, step by step, a genuine alliance of trade between markets.
